We look for the earliest reliable source available and distinguish direct evidence from interpretation. We avoid identifying private people or repeating damaging claims without appropriate support.

Context always

Short clips can remove important information. We seek longer versions, dates, locations, and credible follow-up information when those details materially affect the story.

People matter

Public attention does not remove a person’s dignity. We minimize unnecessary exposure, especially for children and vulnerable people, and we consider whether publication adds understanding.
